4 out of 5 stars I am on the fence with this one ...   January 6, 2009
N. Tatum (pensacola florida)
Ordered this for my 2.5 year old son... It is not his favorite toy, but he does seem to enjoy it. Lion body is super soft, and it is a medium size toy, so I am really happy with the size of it. Sometimes hard for my son to get him to "wake up" , I would prefer it to be a tad more sensitive to touch. The noise of the facial movements is annoying to me - very loud, but my son does not seem to mind at all... so I guess that is not a really big deal !

Ocerall I think it will be a very durable toy, and my son is picking it up more often every day... if he is happy and occupied then I am happy :)

I would buy this as a gift for someone !

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Pet for Children with Allergies   January 4, 2009
Tracy Hill
I bought the Lion Cub for my six year old son who suffers from several allergies and can't have a furry pet of his own. Surprisingly I only paid $39 for it from Amazon.com! The price seems to fluctuate. It was priced as $69 in most stores. He absolutely loves him! So does the entire family including his 3 brothers and mom and dad! It is so life-like. So cuddly. Very realistic (for a toy). I enjoy him as much as the kids. He's working fine for us. I'm sure he's fragile though and needs to be taken care of. I don't view that as a negative though. For something that is as life-like as this lion, it's going to need to be handled with care, that's all. I explained to my son that he needs to care for him the same way he would care for a real animal. Great gift!

4 out of 5 stars Noisy but snuggly   January 3, 2009
jules
As other reviewers have said, the motor noise is loud and distracting to me, but the kids do not notice it at all. The sound and movement are very realistic, yet it is still plush enough to snuggle with - just what my daughter wanted. It's a pricey toy at $[...]+, but worth it when her face lit up on Christmas morning.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome   January 1, 2009

The cub is cuddly and makes the cute little noises. It takes a bit of experimenting how to make it make all the noises, but otherwise it's really cool. My 4 year old loves it.

1 out of 5 stars disappointed   December 31, 2008
A. Moss (Denver, CO)
This was my daughter's favorite toy that she got for Christmas. But it only lasted 3 days before the facial mechanics stop moving. Then the sound fizzled out over the next day. I had to change the batteries twice within those 3 days that it did work. My daughter was gentle with it, so it broke due to poor quality. Its very difficult to get a replacement and the manufacturer is difficult to contact. Their phone lines have "been down" for many days and they are slow in returning emails. My daughter is very disappointed that the defective toy will need to be returned for a refund with no hope of getting a replacement.
